This
painting by child prodigy Beso captures the innocent spirit of a young
artist while promising to interest and challenge you. Sometimes compared
to surrealist Salvador Dali, Beso paints with a style of intrigue and
mystery, almost like a puzzle you start to solve, but never quite master.
In "Air Disguises" he uses vibrant and expressive colors that sweep
the entire canvas of deceptive faces, masks, eyes and towers that look
like staircases or like a hidden place in our collective mind and soul.
In fact, it seems like he wants to share a story of his art, but never
let you know directly what he is thinking. Beso is not just pretending,
he has a real story to tell. A civil war survivor from Georgia, (former
USSR) he started painting at age four in the midst of war, terror and
chaos. Not only did his gift of painting create an escape, but it is
more stubborn than that. His dares to dream and be victorious over the
violence that surrounded him and calls out to change the world around
him. Most of his paintings share his dreams of peace. This painting
most definitely shares his visionary imagination. I hope you will enjoy
